Whether you’re revisiting familiar voices or discovering something new, this is a rare chance to experience two distinct Irish songwriters in an intimate setting — storytelling, harmony, and heart, all in one evening.

Join us for a one-night-only performance as Tralee native John Hegarty returns to his roots for an intimate live set at The Greyhound Bar — this time joined by rising folk artist Eoin Kenny, whose lyrical storytelling and captivating presence are drawing attention across Ireland. A seasoned performer with a distinctive sound, Hegarty brings decades of musical experience to the stage, delivering a rich mix of folk, pop, and indie rock with warmth, sincerity, and soul.

Inspired by legendary acts like Burt Bacharach, Big Star, and The Beatles, his music is known for emotional depth and timeless resonance.

Eoin Kenny, from rural County Leitrim, writes songs steeped in reflection, memory, and observation. Since returning to the stage in early 2024 after a four-year hiatus, he’s played celebrated venues like Whelan’s and the Corn Mill Theatre, released his debut EP About June, and earned praise from Christy Moore and Hot Press.

Heard at Last Year’s Festival

Stories, reactions, and reflections from last year’s attendees.

Not just a festival, it’s a feeling.

Yasmin O’Connell, Louth

What I love about Anam is that it’s not just a festival, it’s a feeling. That sunny Sunday at Madden’s, hearing Liz Quirke speak with such honesty and grace, reminded me why words matter. I left recharged and creatively lit up."

It was pure magic

Aoife L., Kerry

"Seeing Pa Sheehy live under the stars was the highlight of my year. His voice, the setting, the crowd, it was pure magic. Anam Festival creates the kind of moments you carry with you long after they're over"

I left feeling inspired

Maya Torres, Barcelona

"Anam isn’t just a festival—it’s an experience that stays with you. I left feeling inspired, lighter, and more connected. The attention to detail and the lineup were top-notch."

brought the entire room to silence

James A., Belfast

“Anam 2024 was a soulful blend of storytelling, and community. Kit de Waal’s reading brought the entire room to silence—she has a way of reaching right into your heart. Deeply moving."

Truly one of a kind.

Niamh Kelly, Sligo

The play Clutch, performed in the front seat of a car, had me in actual tears—from laughter.  The acting was brilliant. It’s this kind of unexpected magic that makes Anam truly one of a kind.

Felt like pure poetry

Eimear Walsh, Kilkenny

Listening to Liz Quirke read in the sunny courtyard at Madden’s on Sunday felt like pure poetry—literally and emotionally.... it was one of those rare, perfect moments. I’ll be thinking about it for a long time.

Sarah Ní Chonghaile, Westport

That Sunday reading in Madden’s courtyard with Colm Keegan and Liz Quirke was something else. The sun was shining, the crowd was quiet, and those two just lit the place up. Raw, honest, and at times laugh-out-loud funny,
I could’ve listened to them all day. It was one of those perfect festival moments you wish you could bottle."

Raw, honest, laugh-out-loud funny

Honest, haunting, and full of heart

Alan J., Dublin

Pa Sheehy’s performance was pure gold. Honest, haunting, and full of heart. It wasn’t just a gig—it was a shared experience between him and the crowd. I caught myself tearing up more than once, and judging by the faces around me, I wasn’t the only one."

His presence and storytelling are next-level.

Sinéad Brennan, Wexford

The crowd was completely locked in during Pa Sheehy’s set, no phones out, no chatting, just everyone fully present. His voice is one thing, but his presence and storytelling are next-level. A highlight of the festival, hands down
